Do you find my blog abusive?
I should really think not, because I have taken the UTMOST care to see that no "abusive" content is ever posted here, because I am the only contributor (okay, I am using many aliases, but that is because I am at heart a dedicated developer!!).
I think I know what precisely the reason could be why the
Facebook Team has banned both my blog, as well as
my personal website as "abusive". The remark that the above graphic (saved just seconds before I made this post) seems to suggest that it is either one single person, or a group of individuals, who must have "reported" these websites as
abusive, either deliberately (which I highly doubt) or by accident (which seems more likely the case, because people often click the wrong button while removing posts from a
Facebook Group / Page).
Well, to tell you very frankly, I have given up on this so called "fight with the faceless giant", because who am I really? Just another nameless soul alive on this planet, dutifully going about the place doing stuff that normal people (like you, my dear reader) do!! So I am now never, ever going to ask them to review their decision, because it has violated their Community Standards.
Community Standards are created to be honoured by the public at large, which again, consists of people like you and me. How many of us seriously study these standards is a million dollar question. However, everytime you sign into a social website, you are forced to agree to their terms and conditions, whether you read them or not, and I believe that more than 50% of the people who sign into these websites, do not. However, this is my personal opinion and observation, so I admit I could be wrong, but that is not the point that I am trying to make here.
I used to use this blog and my personal website to make posts, so that I could just link them into my Timeline or a Facebook Page. Which, obviously, I have been unable to do, since the last one year or more, simply because I get greeted pleasantly by the above type of a dialog box each and every time.
CAN YOU UNDERSTAND THE FRUSTRATION THAT I FEEL?
Okay, let me tell you that around a year back, my website - which happens to be a Wordpress website, was infected with some malaware, which I managed to remove with the help of my ex-client and dear friend, who overlooked the fact that this happened because of my carelessness in not taking care of backups on a regular basis. So, this COULD have initiated the "abusive" part, because when you tried to go to my website, the malaware was redirecting it to God only knows which weird website(s), some may even have been porn sites.
On 18th September, 2019, I had the entire website taken down and recreated it from scratch. So now, there is no problem at all. This post is just to inform you, me dear beloved reader, of the facts as they stand from my end. What action that it is that you can take to help me, is in your hands entirely. My suggestion, of course, would be that you ought to report to Facebook that this needs to be reviewed seriously, and that too soon, but I leave that decision to you.
